An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist Programmer to join a well-established company!
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: £35,000 - £52,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
Location: Fareham, Hampshire PO14.
About The Company:
They are looking for a time served CNC Machinist to operate their range of 3 and 5 axis Heidenhain controlled vertical machining centres.
The ideal candidate will possess skills and experience in Programming, Setting and the Operation of CNC VMC's working in a range of materials.
They will need to be able to program on and off-line, ideally with experience in Powermill CAM.
About The Role:
To meet exacting customer requirements. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings & specifications. Create, load, save and edit CNC programs using Heidenhain controls. Set up tooling and work piece datum's. Continually assess tool condition and maintain as necessary. Self-inspect own work. To maintain good housekeeping standards. To ensure safe working practices are maintained
Candidate Requirements:
• Time Served Machinist. Ability to establish & develop relationships and be a good team player.
• Knowledge of mould tools would be an advantage. Good understanding of machining techniques.
• Skill in planning methods of machining.
• Competent in the set-up and operation of CNC Milling machines.
• Capable of programming both on and off machine controls.
• Able to work using own initiative.
• Well organised and dependable.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and to self inspect critical features.
• Knowledge of CAM programming would be beneficial, ideally using Powermill. Experience in programming complex parts. Experience in Heidenhain programming essential
Flexible Working Options Available:
• Flexi-time.
• 40-50 hours per week.
• Finish at 12 noon on Fridays.

Pay Examples Depending on Experience:
• 5 axis setter & operator - £17 p/h - 40 hours x £17 x 52 = £35,360 salary paid monthly
• 5 axis setter & operator - £17 p/h - 50 hours x £17 x 52 = £44,200 salary paid monthly
• 5 axis CAM programmer and machinist - £20 p/h - 40 hours x £20 x 52 weeks = £41,600 salary paid monthly
• 5 axis CAM programmer and machinist - £20 p/h - 50 hours x £20 x 52 weeks = £52,000 salary paid monthly
