An Excellent opportunity for an Experienced Senior Management Accountant to join a well-established company based in Doncaster!

The Company:
They are a successful Civil Engineering and Groundworks Contractor. They work solely in the New Build Sector constructing roads, sewers and plots to DPC level together with associated works.

They are currently expanding and looking to recruit a keen, motivated and hardworking individual for the position of Senior Management Accountant within the business.
The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director with close interaction with the other members of the senior management team.
This role goes beyond month end responsibilities and will include interesting opportunities to get involved with projects and value-adding commercial tasks in different areas of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure all legal and statutory compliance on a timely manner.
• Responsible for the preparation of management accounts for the trading and other group Companies including financial and non-financial KPI’s.
• Explain variances in the monthly management accounts and responsible for delivering the management information pack for review.
• Completion of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis for review.
• Full accounts responsibility for all group Companies including preparing draft annual accounts.
• Ensure reporting to external agencies is accurate and timely for example VAT, PAYE and NI, Pensions, insurance broker, Corporation tax and statistical information.
• Prepare VAT return and ensure timely submission.
• Ensure improvements in working capital management through weekly review of aged debt profile and be prepared to speak to customers to respond to any queries and reduced overdue debts.
• Working closely with the Senior Management Team in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and 3-year plan.
• Preparation of cash flow and other forecasts as necessary.
• Work with the Senior Management Team to implement robust internal controls across the business.
• Closely review and report capex spend on a monthly basis.
• Supporting any ad-hoc requests from the Board.

Candidate Requirements:
• Part qualified or qualified with either ACCA or CIMA with a proven track record in a similar role in industry or chartered practice.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Competent user - MS Word, MS Excel [intermediate to advanced], MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and SAGE Accounts.
